SJI to Represent Negros in WVRAA

Negros Occidental is out to dominate the secondary boys’ basketball competition in the 2015 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association set February 7 to 14 in Aklan.


With a selection of players from NOPSSCEA champion team St. John’s Institute and reinforcements from STI-West Negros University and Caduhaan National High School, the Negros five is fortifying its bid for a gold medal in the competition.


Donning the colors of the province in the regional meet are SJI cagers Timothy Samuel Montinola, Armand Kyle Guevarra, Rafael Adrian Puentevella, Joshua Philip Magay, Don Spencer Lim, Justin Christopher Javelosa, Paul Fuentebella, Jr. and Kyle Matthew Chua.

Reinforcing the selection are Sean Francis Sajo and Jaycee Sam Adjei of STI-West Negros University and Eroll Pastor and John Lloyd Licawan of Caduhaan National High School.

Head coach is Ritchie Militante with Troy Sarabia as his assistant and Armando Guevarra as team manager.


Meanwhile, the SJI Blue Falcons are also set to represent Bacolod in the National Basketball Training Center Elite League Finals in Manila on March 4 to 9 and on April, will compete in the national PRISAA.
