SILAY City's MF Computer Solution and Total Gas of Mansilingan finished with 4-3 win-loss card to join early qualifiers Davies Paint (UNO-R) and STI-West Negros University in the semi-final round of the 1st Orophil Shipping-VMAGC Open Cup which starts 5 p.m. today at VMA Gym in Sum-ag, Bacolod City.

The Computer Experts, who beat Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, 91-86 on Saturday, go up against the Painters in the first game while the Gas Dealers will try to dehoof the Mustangs at 6:30 p.m.

Total bucked the early exit of guard Marlon Talatala due to leg injury and outscored Colegio de Sta. Ana of Victorias, 102-85 after a 61-34 lead at half. Former USLS Stinger Tammy Andren and ex-UNO-R Ram Joemarie Bayhon buried triples alternately as the hapless collegians found no way to get even.

Coach Troy Sarabia's rookies won by default over Valley of Peace yesterday morning and were outsmarted by the CHMSC WildCats later in the afternoon, ending the elimination round which started January 17. Games on Wednesday, February 24, pit Total against Davies Paint at 5 p.m. followed by the STI-WNU and MF Computer Solution encounter. On February 26, MFSC and Total face each other while Davies Paint and the Mustangs collide at 6:30 p.m.
